A very special man in our artist agency is Otis Redding III, one of the sons of the legend Otis Redding II.
It happens very often when people in Europe hear of the name of Otis Redding III that man think he is a grandson of the famous singer and songwriter Otis Redding. This is not right; this misunderstanding is caused by the fact that in Europe we are not used to use First, Second, Third and so on. We use Senior and Junior when a son carries the same name as his father and a woman carries the same name as her mother; so, when, like Otis Redding II a man can be both Junior and Senior, when his son is called the same too. Otis I was a referend; there was not much news about him.
Between us and Otis III there is a very special, close friendship since decades. This friendship goes above business.
Otis Redding II crashed at a young age on December the 10th of 1967, but he left us a lot of unforgettable songs: (I've Got) Dreams To Remember, (Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay, RESPECT, FaFaFaFaFa (Sad Song), Mr. Pitiful and many other songs.
A legacy Otis III enjoys to propagate. In the early eighties we heard for the first time of Otis III, as a member of The Reddings, together with brother Dexter and cousin Mark. Remote Control was a big hit, in Europe as well as in the USA. Nowadays it is considered to be a dance-classic.
Otis III crosses over to Europe on a regular basis to perform at festivals, in clubs and corporate events. He can be guided by the English The All Star Super Soul Section or, after approval and consultation, the band that is present.
In 2018 a new highlight in Otis III his career appeared: he was asked to join the legendary RHYTHM KINGS, the former band of Bill Wyman!!
All bookings of Otis III in Europe, except England, are being arranged centrally by us.
At the 26 th and 27 th of August 2016 there were two smashing concerts in The Netherlands, in Luxor Live in Arnhem and the North Sea Jazz Club in Amsterdam.
On the 5th of November 2016 Herman Brood would have celebrated his 70th Birthday. Now his fans have done this for him in Amsterdam, together with Hans Vandenburg, Michel van Dijk, Koos van Dijk, Nina Hagen and, very special, Otis Redding III! Of course the Wild Romance, Herman's band with still a few original members, accompanied all the vocalists.
According to Herman Brood Otis Redding II was God in the world of soul music. Herman has recorded the Otis-song Champagne & Wine on his legendary album Shpritz; on the album Hooks you will find Hard to Handle. Both songs were presented at this special night in such a succesfull way, that the crowd turned upside down. One year after this Otis III joined the Wild Romance again for two shows. In 2018 the Wild Romance released there album No Time, and they decided to make history alive: they recorded Leaving Me, a song by Otis Redding III. So they did the same what Herman Brood did with Champagne & Wine and Hard To Handle. Respect!
