Re-release Cheap Thrills!
Janis Joplin‘s breakout album and her final one with the band — has been reissued on November 30th via Columbia/Legacy Recordings. The 50th anniversary set is now re-released under its original title, Sex, Dope & Cheap Thrills, which Columbia considered too controversial in 1968.
Most people connect this album to the former singer in old times, Janis Joplin. Two times they played at the famous Monterey festival. How Janis Joplin wrote history at Woodstock we all know.

In the year 2016 BBHC performed in Europe and the USA in this line-upo (as formed by Peter and Dave): Peter Albin, bandleader and bassplayer since 1965; Dave Getz, drums; Tom Finch (also known from the Joan Baez band), guitar; Kate Russo (also played with a.o. Ronny Hawkins and The Band), keyboard, violin and vocals and at last Eileen Humphreys, singer.
In october of this year they did a succesfull tour in the Netherlands. The venues they played at were the North Sea Jazz Club in Amsterdam, de Bosuil in Weert, het Paard in The Hague and Luxor Live in Arnhem.
